Well, there's an update for the Ubermensh 3D (2.5D retro shooter) demo.

It's not much really, I made some changes:

• Enemies don't drop ammo anymore but actual weapons that also have ammo.
• You start with more ammo and your gun is full instead of just having 3 rounds loaded.
• I added in the BJICorp splash scene -- I know you can set it up via Unity but I like having a dedicated scene where I can customise it with code and stuff.

I know it's not much but I've had a weird month or so; I definitely had planned to do a lot more. 

Haven't been well, think that all the time spent in lockdown in Melbourne, alone, has had a greater impact than I thought it did. Didn't help that when I was finally able to move out of the hellhole I was in at the start of 2022, I moved into a place where the dickhead nextdoor liked to listen to music loudly whilst occasionally singing off key. He'd start and stop doing that sporadically like a mental patient who was also a junkie -- he likely is both. Sometimes he would start at 11pm -- just after I would go to bed -- and go until 3 in the morning, other times he would start at 3 and go until 5am. Unfortunately it is only a single brick wall that separates the two apartments.

It took several months to finally get him to stop doing it, but by that point it had taken a toll on me and I ended up (more or less) quitting my teaching job. Not that is a bad thing, as I was getting paid for 4 days of work yet doing 5, contributing to my burnout. Now I start 2023 with a number of game projects in various stages of development -- Cryptonaut on Steam was supposed to be completed already but isn't.

I guess for me I have come to a point where I don't know if I want to continue with any of it, especially as I don't have a job to support any of it anyway; also, it's very hard to be a solo developer working along with limited resources. But I guess it is a new year that hopefully has new opportunities; perhaps the worst of it is finally behind us all.
